Alexandra Sellassie Antohin szociálantropológus, oktató és a tudományos ismeretterjesztés aktív művelője. Szerkesztői és tudományos közéleti tevékenységéhez tartozik a Journal of Folklore and Education „Teaching with Folk Sources” című különleges dupla számának társszerkesztése, valamint a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Journal of the Center for Policy Analysis and Research (JCPAR) című lektorált folyóiratának társtervezése és elindítása. Introduction

Alexandra Sellassie Antohin is a social anthropologist, educator, and public scholar whose work explores Orthodox Christianity in global context, as well as broader questions of religion, culture, and public life. She is committed to open-access resources that expand public engagement with cultural and scholarly knowledge.

Dr. Antohin has applied participatory research methods and ethnography to support local communities, notably through leading statewide educational initiatives and K-12 research projects at Vermont Folklife and co-managing a major Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources project. Her editorial and public scholarship leadership includes co-editing a special double issue of the Journal of Folklore and Education (“Teaching with Folk Sources”) as well as co-designing and launching the peer-reviewed Journal of the Center for Policy Analysis and Research (JCPAR) for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Her profile combines rigorous ethnographic research across East Africa, the United States, and the Russian Far East with active leadership on heritage advocacy projects for the African continent and the global Black diaspora.
