PD Dr. Christian Erk a St. Galleni Egyetem (HSG) Orvostudományi Karának (Med-HSG) adminisztratív igazgatója. Emellett társelnöke az «AI@HSG» projekt azon alcsoportjának, amely a mesterséges intelligencia alap- és mesterképzésben, valamint vezetői továbbképzésben történő alkalmazására összpontosít. A HSG-n betöltött pozíciói mellett a svájci Thurgau kantonban működő thurmed AG egészségügyi csoport stratégiai stábegységében is dolgozik, és a csoport egyik kórházában működő etikai fórum társigazgatója. Tagja a Svájci Püspöki Konferencia Bioetikai Bizottságának, továbbá normatív és stratégiai menedzsmenttel kapcsolatos kérdésekben vállalatoknak nyújt tanácsadást.

Christian Erk a St. Galleni Egyetemen (Svájc) szerzett üzleti közgazdaságtani alapdiplomája mellett a London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) politikai elmélet mesterszakán is diplomát szerzett. Doktori fokozatát (Dr. phil.) a Zürichi Egyetemen (Svájc) szerezte, majd üzleti etikából habilitált a St. Galleni Egyetemen, ahol az etika és menedzsment adjunktusaként is dolgozott.

Christian Erk alap- és mesterképzésben, valamint továbbképzési programokban oktat. Publikációi között számos könyv és tudományos tanulmány található, amelyek a menedzsmentre, az etikára és az egészségügyre, illetve e területek metszéspontjaira összpontosítanak.

Introduction

PD Dr. Christian Erk serves as the administrative director of the School of Medicine (Med-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). He also co-heads the sub-group of the «AI@HSG» project that focuses on the use of AI on the undergraduate and graduate level as well as in executive education. In addition to his jobs at the HSG, he also works in the strategy-staff unit of the thurmed AG, a health care group in the Swiss canton Thurgau, and serves as co-director of the ethics forum at one of their hospitals. He is a member of the Commission on Bioethics of the Swiss Bishops’ Conference and advises companies on issues of normative and strategic management.

In addition to a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland), Christian Erk holds a master's degree in political theory from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He received his doctorate (Dr. phil.) from the University of Zurich (Switzerland) and subsequently habilitated in business ethics at the University of St.Gallen where he also served as an assistant professor for ethics and management.

Christian Erk teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as in continuing education programs. His list of publications includes various books and scholarly articles focusing on management, ethics, and healthcare – or topics at their intersection.
